With more and more pet owners in the United States and abroad, our animals are becoming even more ingrained into our families. This holiday season; don’t forget to include your pet on your holiday shopping list! Just like ourselves, it’s important to not only give them a little pampering and TLC now and then, but also remember that holistic health can go a long way in maintaining wellness and preventing illness.

In addition to ailments associated with aging, our pets also become more susceptible to illness during the time surrounding the shift in season. While they're not vulnerable in the same ways as us, time spent traveling, in kennels, the vet, and catteries puts them at risk for catching a cold or flu virus.

While we do our best to provide for our pets, take a moment to consider how often you express gratitude for all the benefits your pet provides to you. While age-related health troubles are just a part of nature that we must deal with, there are also behavioral issues that can be stressful for owners to endure throughout a pet's life, as well. As domestication has brought once wild dogs and cats into the household, their eating habits have thus been significantly altered as humans became caretakers.
